Robert saw that homeowners were being taken advantage of by dishonest roofers. So he started Above Roofing to help homeowners get the high-quality advice and roof they deserve. For more than 25 years, Robert and Above Roofing have been making a difference, one roof at a time. When he's not working, he's strategizing, thinking, and learning about human behavior so he can be a better friend, leader, and business owner.
Scott Tubergen
Scott leads Above Roofing as President and brings a 'we care' attitude to every roofing job. In his words, 'I enjoy working at Above Roofing because they carry a we-care attitude.' Our team is stronger and our standards are higher because of people like Scott.

Linda is involved with two Bible studies and enjoys teaching a kids' Bible Club in the public school, playing pickleball 8–10 hours a week, and reading and walking.

Meet Rocket — a different breed of roofer.
Not every business has a mascot, but at Above Roofing we have Rocket, an Australian Shepherd. As a "different breed of roofer," Rocket represents our team and our commitment to your protection. When you see him in our advertising around the community, we hope you think: hardworking, friendly, and smart. Rufus, our first mascot, has retired.
Dogs provide protection and comfort. So do our roofs. We're so committed to those values that we support the Humane Society of West Michigan through our work on your home, financial gifts, and volunteering — helping give dogs like Rocket and Rufus a great life.
What's with the dog on your trucks and in your ads?
That's Rocket, our mascot (Rufus before him). He's a symbol of our commitment to protection, hard work, friendly service, and comfort for families and the pets they love. We partner with the Humane Society of West Michigan to promote the humane treatment and responsible care of animals.
Why that breed?
We originally picked a Border Collie because they're hardworking, loyal, friendly, and very smart — dogs have a sixth sense for knowing when something is wrong and how to fix it. Australian Shepherds share those traits, and Rocket joined us so Rufus could retire.
Why the Humane Society of West Michigan?
Because they're in our backyard, and they promote the humane treatment and responsible care of animals through education, example, placement, and protection. Learn more at hswestmi.org.
Do you partner with any other animal organizations?
Yes — Camp Bow Wow of Hudsonville. Roofing work can be stressful for dogs, and Camp Bow Wow is a great doggie daycare for our clients' pets. We offer their clients special deals and they do the same for ours.
